Kosciusko Junction Pipeline Project Completes Federal Permitting

WASHINGTON (September 23, 2026) – Today, the Federal Permitting Improvement Steering Council (Permitting Council) announces the completion of federal permitting for the Kosciusko Junction Pipeline Project. Once operational, this pipeline project will play a significant role in meeting rising demand for natural gas in Mississippi and across the Southeast.

This approval marks an important milestone for a project that will enhance natural gas transportation capacity and strengthen energy reliability across the southeastern United States.”

Located in Mississippi, the Kosciusko Junction Pipeline project is focused on meeting the rising demand for natural gas in the Southeast. Forecasted demand for increased energy sources has been on the rise and this project is anticipated to assist in supporting large industrial investments. The project will connect supply from the Midcontinent, Marcellus, and Fayetteville basins to markets in the Southeast through new and existing pipeline interconnects. The project consists of approximately 111 miles of new 36-inch-diameter pipeline, six new compressors at new and existing stations, and new receipt or delivery meters at five locations. The project will create 1,175 Mdth/d of firm transportation capacity to markets in the Southeast.
