On August 6, 2026 Executive Director Emily Domenech and Governor Kim Reynolds signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) between the Permitting Council and the State of Iowa, committing to coordinate and streamline federal and state permitting for critical infrastructure projects in Iowa.
